Southern Silver Exploration Corp. has filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against an investor relations firm over work that the firm never performed. According to the suit, Southern Silver hired National Inflation Association LLC of New Jersey and paid it $50,000 (U.S.). National Inflation was supposed to advertise the company on social media and distribute e-mail alerts, but did absolutely nothing, at least according to Southern Silver.
The allegations are contained in a notice of claim that Southern Silver filed at the Vancouver courthouse on March 19, 2018. In addition to National Inflation, the suit names as a defendant a New Jersey man, Gerard Adams. Southern Silver identifies Mr. Adams as the president of National Inflation.
The suit centres around an agreement that Southern Silver signed with National Inflation on March 1, 2017. The agreement, as described in the suit, specified that National Inflation would promote Southern Silver on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and through e-mails. As part of this work, National Inflation would announce Southern Silver as the "#1 Mexican silver stock suggestion for 2017." National Inflation was also supposed to interview the management of Southern Silver and produce a short, professional quality video to highlight the company's potential, the suit states.
