Vancouver, British Columbia / TheNewswire / June 13, 2017 - Alchemist Mining Incorporated (CSE: AMS) ("Company" or "Alchemist") is pleased to announce the commencement of its Summer 2017 field program on its wholly-owned Aubaine Gold Project, located in the Urban Barry Gold District. The property consists of 22 claims covering approximately 1250 ha covering the western extent of the Archean Volcano-Sedimentary Urban-Barry Belt, host to recent gold discoveries made by Bonterra Resources Inc. and Osisko Mining Inc., on the Barry and Windfall gold deposits, respectively.

The proposed exploration program is to consist of systematic soil sampling, ground geophysics (magnetics and VLF EM), beep-mapping and, where warranted, short hole diamond drilling. The investigation of the Aubaine Gold Project, which is being carried out by Canexplor Management, is focused on the Souart Fault Zone, which is comprised of three parallel north-easterly trending faults that completely transect the project and are on strike with a host of gold anomalies.

The Aubaine Property has excellent logistics with ready road access from the Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 113 North, and a series of logging roads east of Lebel sur Quevillon, Quebec. The central portion of the Aubaine Property is contiguous with Osisko Mining Inc. claims to the west and southwest, and Beaufield Resources Inc. property to the east. The southern portion of the Aubaine Property is less than 1 kilometers from Osisko's "SW Target", defined by occurrences of anomalous gold grains in 10 kilogram till samples.

Regarding the initiation of the field program, CEO & President, David Gdanski commented: "The Company is extremely pleased to be breaking ground in the Urban Barry, which is unquestionably the most notable gold camp in Quebec. Our field crew, which has significant experience in the Urban Barry Greenstone Belt, has the ability to identify subsurface anomalies and thereafter complete short hole diamond drilling to a depth of up to 20m."
