EUROPE HRC: Domestic prices rising slower in north than in south

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil have been recovering more slowly in Northern Europe than in the south of the region, sources told Fastmarkets on Tuesday November 26.

Although some mills in the north of Europe have been offering material at relatively low prices of about ?,?415-425 per tonne ex-works, market sources believe that such prices will soon no longer be available.
This is largely in line with Fastmarkets' latest weekly price assessment for steel HRC, domestic, exw Northern Europe, of ?,?420-425 ($463-468) per tonne on November 20.

But steelmakers in the region have been targeting prices of ?,?440-450 per tonne ex-works. And market...
