(IDEX Online) - The Natural Color Diamond Association will hold a seminar on 'The benefits and virtues of natural diamonds and natural color diamonds' during the JCK show on June 1.

Among the industry figures taking part will be: Andrew Coxon - President, The De Beers Institute of Diamonds; Andrew Bone - Executive  Director, Responsible Jewelry Council; Alethea Inns - Director of Gemology and Education, American Gem Society; Nilesh Sheth - President, Indian Diamond and Colored Stone Association; and Thomas Gelb - Director of Education, Natural Color Diamond Association.

"The panel represents a cross-section of our industry with different experiences and overlapping perspectives on natural diamonds," the organization said. "Today, there are many disagreements about the pros and cons of natural diamonds and all substitutes for the natural thing. Our panel of experienced experts is focused on the positive reasons diamonds are the driving force of the jewelry industry and the ideas we need to discuss with our clients to help them make an objective decision when considering natural diamonds or manmade diamonds for purchase. Our goal is to evaluate and discuss the positive attributes of diamonds, and how transparency from the mine to the consumer is who we are as an industry and how we will grow and prosper."
