RAPAPORT... Industry veteran Michael O'Connor will join The Plumb Club as marketing director. He will be responsible for creating and developing new methods for shaping the future of the industry.O'Connor has worked in various positions in the industry over the past 35 years, including retail, manufacturing, design and strategic marketing, The Plumb Club said Wednesday. He was previously director of corporate marketing for Frederick Goldman, as well as senior vice president for Platinum Guild International USA. He also ran his own firm, working with clients such as Rio Tinto, Leo Schachter, Home Shopping Network (HSN) and Jewelry Television (JTV).Billed as an industry expert in the television media, O'Connor has appeared on many television shows, including The Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Access Hollywood and the QVC network, as well as a variety of national news programs."We are thrilled to be able to bring on someone of Michael's caliber and experience to head up our marketing," said The Plumb Club president Michael Lerche.
