Salesforce.com (CRM), a Dow Jones Industrial Average stock moved below $212.99 extending an intermediate downtrend.

Pre-opening Comments for Wednesday March 3rd

U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 future added 9 points in pre-opening trade.

Index futures moved slightly lower following release off the March ADP Private Employment Report at 8:15 AM EST. Consensus was an increase of 177,000 versus an upwardly revised gain of 195,000 in February. Actual was an increase of 117,000.

Johnson & Johnson added $0.13 to #159.15 and Merck gained $0.14 to $72.99 after President Biden's estimated availability of the COVID 19 vaccine for all Americans by the end of May instead of end of July. Merck has joined Johnson & Johnson to produce more doses than previously announced.

Wendy's dropped $0.70 to $20.60 after reporting lower than consensus fourth quarter revenues and earnings. The company also lowered guidance below consensus estimates for the first quarter.

Hewlett Packard Enterprises added $0.14 to$14.64 after reporting higher than consensus fiscal first quarter revenues and earnings.

Roku advanced $10.50 to $400.17 after KeyBanc Capital upgraded the stock from Sector Weight to Overweight. Target is $518.
