The U.S. is forecasted to overtake Saudi Arabia and Russia as the world's number one oil producer and David Prentice, Managing Director of Brookside Energy, said this is due to radically evolving technologies in the energy space.
"Fundamentally, it's a story about technology and technological improvements in drilling techniques," Prentice told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Noosa Mining & Exploration Investment Conference.
Prentice said that the U.S. is unique in that it has both geological advantages in holding oil and gas reserves and a long history of technological innovations in the energy sector.
