Alrosa sells more gem quality diamonds in first quarter, but at lower prices.

Alrosa reported the results for its diamond production during the first quarter of 2019. The company mined and processed 7.8 million carats, an increase of 18 percent compared to the first quarter of 2018.  Alrosa sold 10.6 million carats for $1billion, an increase of 19 percent for the quarter.
