Target Exec to Become Blue Nile CEO

Blue Nile has appointed Target executive Jason Goldberger asCEO to replace Harvey Kanter, four months after the online diamond retailer'sacquisition by a private-equity group.Goldberger (pictured) has 20 years' experience in senior positions at e-commercegroups, including Amazon, Blue Nile said last week. He was most recently chiefdigital officer and president of, overseeing digital strategy andexecution for the discount store. Kanter - who has been CEO for five years - will hand over the positionto Goldberger on Monday and remain at the company as chairman. An investor group consisting of Bain Capital Private Equity,Bow Street and Adama Partners bought Blue Nile for about $500 million inFebruary.
